Built from scratch.
Our story began in the early 1960s, when South African-born cabinetmaker and metalworker Grahame Watson set up shop on Bainbridge Island near our present-day home in Poulsbo, Washington. Twenty-five years later, he handed the business to Bill Haggerty, Daniel Warn, and Clif McKenzie, whose leadership was grounded in custodianship rather than ownership. Today, we continue to honour Grahame’s vertically integrated model while ensuring long-term stability for the people who are the backbone of Watson.
